Days after a police report claimed Morant exposed a gun after hitting a teenager “12 or 13 times” during a pickup basketball game last summer, video of Morant attempting to display a gun while shirtless at a nightclub surfaced Saturday.
On Saturday morning, the NBA issued a statement claiming it is investigating the footage.
“We are aware of a social media post concerning Ja Morant and are looking into it,” NBA spokesperson Mike Bass told ESPN.
Following the Grizzlies’ 113-97 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, the footage leaked early Saturday morning.
Morant can be seen in the video dancing without his shirt on, holding what looks to be a rifle.
